DR. MÁRCIO BERNSTEIN

Biography

Dr. Márcio Bernstein is a Veterinarian and the only Specialist in Veterinary Nephrology and Urology, officially recognized by the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine (CFMV) in Brazil. He is the founder and director of RENALVET – Center for Veterinary Nephrology, Urology, and Hemodialysis, established in 2001 as the first instuon of its kind in South America.With over 38 years of clinical experience, Dr. Bernstein has dedicated his career to advancing kidney care and dialysis treatments for animals of all sizes—from companion pets to exoc species, including camels, dromedaries, and the royal horses of Jordan. Internaonally recognized as a pioneer in veterinary hemodialysis, he has led the establishment of pioneering services in Europe (Portugal), the Middle East (Dubai), and Asia(India).

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 1987, Dr. Bernstein began studying acupuncture and Tradional Chinese Medicine in 1984 and became the first South American veterinarian cerfied by the Internaonal Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). His training in human Tradional Chinese Medicine in the United States further enhanced his integrave approach to animal health.

A passionate educator and lecturer, Dr. Bernstein has presented and taught at universies and internaonal congresses across Brazil, the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, sharing his experse in veterinary nephrology, urology, and hemodialysis.
